Hawaiian Boy

This art piece is inspired by the Hawaiian keikis whose deep respect for their elders, culture, ancestors, and language is truly phenomenal. As an international student from the Philippines, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to study here in Hawaii. Being immersed in this vibrant environment has allowed me to witness firsthand the dedication and reverence Hawaiian children show towards their heritage. Their example of honoring their roots has not only inspired this artwork but also deepened my appreciation for the importance of cultural pride and respect.
