What is Ho’ola?

The Ho’ola Training Institute is the permanent training institute established by the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of the Hawaiian Islands.  The name Ho’ola was taken because it represents one of the aims of the Institute, “to revive or reinvigorate the spirit”.  To this institution was given the responsibilities of training the human resources in Hawaii needed, as the Universal House of Justice (the Supreme body of the worldwide Baha’i community) states in a letter dated 26 December 1995 “to endow ever-growing contingents of believers with the spiritual insights, the knowledge and the skills needed to carry out the many tasks of accelerated expansion and consolidation, including the teaching and deepening of a large number of people – adults, youth and children.”
